If true, this would be a tragedy. The Savage is truly a unique motorcycle. A cruiser that is not overstuffed and bloated, trying its hardest to be HD. Just a bike. I can't tell you how many compliments I get on my bone stock candy orange '98. Everybody digs it. Bike people and non bike people alike. Occasionally, I think I would like to upgrade to something bigger.. but what?
Any significant upgrade and you're talking twice what you can roll a brand new Savage out the door for.

Sure, the Savage has it's limitations. It's not a canyon burner, or a two-up mega cruiser. But for bombing around town or meandering down a country road, which is most of the riding most people do anyway, Savage is the scoot par excellence. It's light, narrow, simple, dependable, easy to ride and maintain, looks good, is unique, affordable, and fits through my front door to be parked in my living room. What other bike can you say all that about?

Suzuki, please. How much could it possibly cost to keep the Savage rolling out? Same bike since '86. Keep 'em coming.
